Is the Web console my only option for Support Agents (customer service employees) to do/connect to remote machines?

I have created a group with scopes and permissions, basically to run scripts and remote control the machines, but I think the web console looks really old and is very slow sometimes. Is that my only tool? (other than installing the core client on each Costumer service employee) Is BridgeIT that same thing?
Please advise.
